Secondary school principals can nominate their students for the Learned Society Awards

For principals of secondary schools in the Czech Republic and associations supporting talented youth:

Awards of the Learned Society of the Czech Republic for outstanding scientific activities of secondary school students in the Czech Republic

The Learned Society of the Czech Republic announces a competition for prizes in the "High School Student" category for exceptional scientific activities in the sciences or humanities. The aim is to support talented students and develop their interest in science.

The prizes of the Learned Society are awarded annually. Proposals for the award to secondary school students can be submitted by members of the Learned Society, directors of secondary schools in the Czech Republic and The Association for the Support of Talented Youth of the Czech Republic. A condition for the award is the creative elaboration of a selected professional topic.

The deadline for the competition is 29 February 2024.

Please submit the student's complete work in print and electronic form. In the nomination, please include the student's personal data, a brief evaluation of his/her extraordinary activities in the relevant field, documented by published or submitted contributions to journals and periodicals, evidence of active participation in conferences, symposia, etc. Please also provide the contact details of your school (name of the director, telephone, e-mail).

The Learned Society Prizes do not apply to original literary and artistic works (poetry, short stories, novels, artwork, etc.).

The prizes will be announced and presented at the ceremony of the XXIXth General Assembly of the Learned Society on 20 May 2024 in the Great Auditorium of the Karolinum in Prague.
