Učená společnost ČR zakládá komisi k onemocnění covid-19

Signatáři otevřeného dopisu ministru zdravotnictví, v němž kritizovali plán na vývoj „české vakcíny“ proti koronaviru SARS-CoV-2, se ve čtvrtek 14. května 2020 sešli ys ministrem Adamem Vojtěchem. Na tomto setkání se zrodil nápad založit komisi k vědecko-technologickým otázkám onemocnění covid-19 a jeho původci viru SARS-CoV-2. Komise, kterou Učená společnost ČR zastřešuje, bude ministrovi k dispozici jako expertní skupina.

XXVI. valné shromáždění Učené společnosti ČR

V úterý 19. 5. 2020 proběhlo v upraveném režimu (bez přístupu veřejnosti), s následným on-line přenosem přednášek, XXVI. valné shromáždění Učené společnosti ČR, na kterém byly vyhlášeny ceny v kategorii "mladší vědecký pracovník" a "středoškolský student", ceny pro pedagogy a dále nositelé medaile  za zásluhy o rozvoj vědy NUMISMA HONORIS SOCIETATIS SCIENTIARUM BOHEMICAE. Z důvodu koronavirové pandemie musela být bohužel zrušena slavnostní část shromáždění, na kterém měly být ceny a medaile předány nositelům. Náhradní termín hledáme.
